Your Help Is Needed

Please contact your legislator & urge their strong support of t he Governor’s Omnibus Housing Bill!

A couple of talking points:

- Iowa’s business leaders and economic development officials across the state identify Iowa’s lack of affordable housing as a barrier to economic success.
- Economic forecasts show that Iowa needs 47,000 housing units by 2030.
- Affordable housing is key to expanding economic growth for Iowa.
- Governor Reynolds’ Omnibus Housing bill (SF 295/HF582)expands on proven, highly successful affordable housing programs in Iowa, such as the Workforce Housing Tax Credit, the Revitalization Tax Credit, and the State Housing Trust Fund.
- The Iowa Housing Credit will help Iowa leverage nearly $23 million in currently unused federal dollars and will boost affordable housing options in the state.
